JAMESTOWN METAL PRODUCTS AND JAMESTOWN SCIENTIFIC

(Jamestown, NY, May 26, 2009) Jeff Christie, President, Jamestown Metal Products LLC and Jamestown Scientific LLC, announced the acquisition of the two Jamestown NY companies by the Tennessee based Institutional Casework Inc.  Jamestown Metal Products is a premier producer of top quality steel and stainless steel cabinets, casework, and fumehoods found in the medical, educational, governmental and industrial facilities.  Jamestown Scientific is a manufacturer of custom plastic laminate countertops and casework, wood laboratory furniture components and polypropylene acid and fumehood liners.  ICI is recognized as a national leader in the manufacturing of CampbellRhea wood casework and furniture for the K-12 institutional, library & athletic locker, college & university sciences, and research laboratory markets.

Jamestown Metal Products was founded in 1943 by the Lingren family, initially as a fabricator of metal cabinets and related products for residential kitchens. Jamestown Metal Products quickly evolved to a health care and hospital furniture manufacturer providing top quality stainless steel and painted metal products and is a major supplier in the laboratory furniture industry outfitting university, pharmaceutical and governmental research facilities.  You can find installations from Jamestown Metal Products in many of the most prestigious universities in the U.S. and abroad, in leading-edge research companies, and in government facilities from the National Institutes of Health to the White House kitchen.
